Competition over AI Technologies
The development of AI and therefore also the implementation in jobs will probably differ strongly in different countries of the world. In industrial states, there are already jobs that are carried out by Artificial Intelligence. Contrary to that are developing states in which the majority of the inhabitants have a low standard of living due to the economic and social conditions. In those states, not many people can go to university or even graduate from high school so therefore I doubt that in developing states AI is yet in use.
Between the industrial states there is always competition and so does it when it comes to Artificial Intelligence. All the developed
nation’s scientists eagerly work on the improvement and implementation of AI. One interesting example is the current race between China and the USA. The former Google CEO Eric Schmidt predicted
that China will soon overtake the US progress. Particularily the immigration restrictions make it hard for companies like Google to hire experts from countries like Iran. Its laws restrict the
immigration of Iranians, Syrians and a few other nationalities. Because of the issuing of these laws, the US impedes itself, as they are not able to bring professionals into their country. As a
result, other nations can claim these qualified professionals and America lacks the outstanding scientists. They now belong to China, in this case.
